Rosemary Butler will help Pillgwenlly Primary School to celebrate its remarkable achievement during a recent campaign to promote reading among primary school children in Wales.

The school is holding a special assembly on at 9.am on Thursday December 13th, when pupils who successfully took part in the Read a Million Words in Wales will be congratulated. The aim was for pupils to become word millionaires by counting all the words they read at school, at home and in the wider community.

As part of a campaign to promote positive attitudes to reading among primary school children,Pillgwenlly Primary School has been one of the most successful and enthusiastic participants in the scheme, and won the first national competition to name the Read a Million Words in Wales Dragon.
