The Quinn Group who already have a radiator plant on the LG site at Duffryn have announced plans for a factory at Celtic Springs nearby to make insulation. It's expected that more than 250 jobs will be created, with production starting next year.

Newport West AM Rosemary Butler has described the announcement as a "feather in the cap" for Newport and the Welsh Assembly.

"The fact that such a prestigious company is making this extra investment is a tribute to the local workforce and to  those who helped to create the right economic environment.

"I'm also delighted that it's an energy saving product- a very important consideration in this day and age."
