Welcome to my website! As the Assembly Member for Newport West since 1999 I represent one of the most dynamic and rapidly changing urban landscapes in Wales. I was delighted and very grateful to be re-elected on May 5th with an increased majority. It was also a great honour to be elected as Presiding Officer of the National Assembly on May 11th. It is important that I remain in touch with the voters of Newport West, and that’s why this website is so vital.

New buildings and new infrastructures all bring benefits but they can also bring problems. I’m here to discuss anything which might affect our lives.

But changes in our immediate environment won’t be the only ones to affect the people of Newport West. The National Assembly is now responsible for its own legislation. With your help I want to make sure that we shape laws which will help the people of Newport West enjoy a safer, healthier, more comfortable lifestyle than ever before.
